How connected accounts work

What you can track, how your data arrives, and what Penny Penguin can never do.

How does Penny Penguin connect to my financial accounts?

Penny Penguin uses Plaid to connect supported banks with your permission. Once connected, you can see available balances and transactions, spending, recurring bills, budgets, and goals in one place.

Can Penny Penguin move my money or make payments?

No. Penny Penguin helps you see and plan your money, but it cannot move funds, make payments, withdraw money, or cancel subscriptions.

How are bills and subscriptions found?

Penny Penguin looks for recurring patterns in your synced transactions, then organizes likely bills, subscriptions, and expected dates. Because merchants and payment schedules can change, use these as planning signals and confirm important payments with the provider.

Choose the plan that fits

What you can do for free, what Premium adds, and how billing works.

Can I use Penny Penguin without Premium?

Yes. The Free plan lets you connect one financial institution and start building a clearer view of your money. Choose Premium when you want more connections and the deeper planning, subscription, and household tools.

What does Premium cost?

Open the Premium screen to compare the current monthly and yearly prices. Both plans include the same Premium tools, and you can review the renewal terms before checkout.

What is included with Premium?

Premium lets you connect more than one financial institution and unlocks deeper tools for subscriptions, budgets, goals, net worth, investments, and household sharing. Penny Penguin labels Premium features before you upgrade.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Open Settings, choose Your account, then select Manage billing / Cancel. You can review your plan or make changes in the secure billing portal.

Sharing and privacy

Who can see your information and how you stay in control.

Can I share Penny Penguin with someone else?

Yes. With Premium, you can invite someone as a Collaborator or View-only member. Only the household owner needs Premium, and each person uses their own Penny Penguin account.

Can anyone access my bank through Penny Penguin?

No. Penny Penguin cannot move money, and invited members never receive your bank credentials. Plaid handles account connections, and the owner controls which accounts a View-only member can see.

Read the Privacy Policy
Can I delete my Penny Penguin account and data?

Yes. You can request deletion in the app or from the data deletion page. Some records may be kept when required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or billing obligations.
